Walter Reed Hospital BBQ for our Troops along with other local teams provided a bbq
lunch for 250 recovering soldiers & their
families August 2007
Walter Reed Hospital BBQ for our Troops Along with teams from Md. And Va. Provided a
BBQ lunch for over 500 recovering soldiers & their families. In10se
made over 20 gallons of baked beans May 2008
Poolesville Md. Assisted other organizations to bring a bus
load of recovering soldiers & their families from
Walter Reed Hospital to Whites Ferry for an all day picnic. In10se
prepaired pulled pork, beans & hotdogs. October 2008
Kookers Kare Mid Atl. Along with 4 other cookers & many volunteers
we cooked 1200 lb (raw
weight) of pork shoulder. When the day was over we had 680 lb of pulled
pork packaged and on its way to the National Capitol Area Food Bank. November 2008
Q-Aid Nominated to be the Secretary of the newly
formed Q-Aid.
This
is a non profit organization designed to bring bbq cooks together with
local food banks & community organizations to fight against hunger.
